DIRECTOR AND FOUNDER
Elva Ondiek is the founder and Director of Armstrong Women Empowerment Centre, based in Rabuor, Kenya. She is the first female founder of an empowerment center for women in her village, with the aim of supporting skills and talent that can create income-generating activities and reduce the high poverty levels.
Elva has a wealth of experience in the non-profit world having worked in organizations such as the Victoria Institute for Research and Environmental Development, Impact Research and Development and Care Kenya.
She holds a Certificate in Psychological Counseling from the Kenya Institute of Professional Counseling in Kisumu.
Elva currently serves as an executive board member in the disciplinary committee at Alendu Secondary School. She is also a member of YALI Network Kisumu and Entrepreneurs Spot Programs. Her hobbies are building networks, cooking, reading motivational books, giving speeches, promoting solar products and encourage the local community on the importance of savings.
